A Judgement In Stone

Sophie (Sandrine Bonnaire) works as a lived in maid for the rich Lelievres in coastal Brittany. Fulfilling her duties with spooky efficiency, Sophie does not reveal much of what goes on under that blank face of hers. Her only friend is Jeanne (Isabelle Huppert), a psychotic postal clerk who apparently holds some raging grudge against Sophie's employers. Once Jeanne learns about Sophie's dark secrets, she manipulates Sophie into forming an unholy alliance to target the Lelievres.
